Senior Java Developer

Job Description

The candidate would be working on the Enterprise Preference Management Program (EPMP) as a scrum team developer, and working primarily on Java, database & ReactJS.

Primary responsibilities:
- Solve tough technical problems at any level of stack (Backend/ Frontend/ Database/ Infrastructure) with emphasis on back end (Java)
- Perform software analysis, risk analysis, reliability analysis
- Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts
- Integrate new software solution with existing system
- Extract and reverse engineer existing code
- Work along side with engineering and product team to develop new ideas into reliable products, features, services and tools utilizing the latest software development stacks and related technologies
- Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application code
- Monitor and improve performance.
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Daily duties include grooming stories, providing estimates, writing code and writing tests

Preferred skills:
- In depth and hands on backend API development with Java
- Strong HTML, CSS, reactJS experience
- 3+ years of experience developing RESTFUL APIs
- 3+ years of various database experience - sql & nosql
- Experience with Jenkins for deployment automation
- Experience with GIT for code repository
- Understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- Collaborate in team environment

Tech stack: Java, spring boot, mongodb, MySQL, Mongodb, JavaScript, react, nodejs, css, html5, accessibility.

INTERVIEW PROCESS:
a. How many rounds? 2 rounds
b. Video vs. phone? Both Microsoft Teams meeting with webcam on
c. How technical will the interviews be? Java, spring boot, APIs, database, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS, Web Accessibility
d. Candidate must be able to share screen with video using Teams
e. There will be problem solving activity during interview

The candidate would be part of a scrum team with 5-6 other developers.

What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? Candidate should have at least 4+ years of experience with backend and front end technology.
